Our team is made up of a highly talented and passionate staff trained in global health; environmental health; migration and diaspora studies, and socio-cultural studies.
Principal investigator
Prof. Godfred O. Boateng
Dr. Godfred O. Boateng is an Assistant Professor at York University and Canada Research Chair in Global Health and Humanitarianism. He is also a Faculty Fellow at the Dahdaleh Institute for Global Health Research, York University.

Project Coordinator
Salwa studies Global Health at the York University with specialization in health promotion and disease prevention. She is interested in the relationship between perceived social position and the underlying mechanisms that influence health outcomes; health policy; public health surveillance, and child & maternal health.
Co- investigator
Prof. Dlamini Nombuso
Dr. Dlamini Nombuso is a professor in the Faculty of Education whose work focuses on youth, especially racialized youth within leadership and political systems.

Research Coordinator
Eyram Adzo Agbe
Eyram is a Master's student in Development Studies at York University. Her research focuses on the relationship between the techno-politics of education reform and the psychosocial impact of COVID-19 on teachers in urban Ghana. Eyram is supporting the implementation of the project by coordinating all research-related activities

Sarah Awuah
Sarah Awuah is the current chairperson of the Ghana Union of Canada (GUC). As chairperson, she is responsible for leading the union's executive committee and representing the organization in various national and international forums.
Gashanti's Project Lead
Muna Ali
She is the Managing Director of Gashanti Young Women Initiative, Canada. Ashanti provides Somali-Canadian young women a safe atmosphere to nurture their gifts, strengthen their capabilities, and build positive relationships.
